:: PANEL BEATING & CLASSIC CAR RESTORATION ::

1994 - 1998
Photos show my Citroen special, built from aluminium wrapped aorund a steel tube frame. This car had many guises and 5 engines! The most fun i have had on 4 wheels, handled incredibly well, sliding through turns and quick no longer carrying its normal body shell.

In 1996 in its original guise the Citroen specials Club UK awarded me - Special of the Year

Later I stripped and lightened it further, then  it was even low enough to pass under a parking barrier!

First mock-up. Intending on a long rounded bonnet.

Original excitement at removing the engine

Modified front wings, screen added for the purpose of attaching a roof rock so I could take my boards to the beach!

This was the first model of my Special. I had to adjust the front wings because they caused the front end of the car to lift at 60mph!

MK3 Escort Coupe

This was a later project  1996-97. I was trying to apply some the traditional hotrod tricks to a modern car. A shifting of the C pillars widening of the front arches, welding up the boot, de-seaming, removing handles. Addition of twin headlights from a Capri, alloy wheels, recaro interior and RS 1600 engine

Restoration

The Jaguar beow was my first restoration in 1994. I went on to work on Mercedes, Mini Coopers, VW's, Triumph Stag, Triumph Herald, MG's, Ferrari's, a Bristol, a Corvette, an E-type and more. Fitting complete floorpans, doors, panels and custom making sections. Sadly I have few photos to attest to my work.
