Metal work - Charcoal Stoves

:: Hand built Charcoal Stove with Oven ::

This stove was designed and constructed to fit within the space available for a standard gas cooker on my yacht. Eventually I sold the boat without fitting it but I used the stove temporarily in South Wind - the Gaff Cutter.

Feet are tapped, so that it can be bolted up through the work surface
Note, stainless steel fiddle rail made from stainless rigging wire

Rope Sealed Double skinned doors with spark proof air vents

Oven: large enough to cook a loaf bread

Hot plate: boils water. Fiddles to prevent pans falling off in rough conditions

Spark proof doors with air intake at the top, feeds in low down inside the fire box.

Pre-paint

First testing, tacked up but not yet welded

Small Box section Charcoal Stove

We made a few of these and sold them to people to install in vans and boats. This one heated my cabin very efficiently.

This stove is also wall mounted, It has twice the volume of the small box section stove above. A sliding vent, glass window, top loading and removable ash box. It has its own unique bracketry system incorporating a heat shield.
It is very efficient and would burn for in excess of 6 hours.
